Refining with Firefox

SEnuke: Ready for action

One piece of software any optimizer should love is Firefox. Now some may say 'Why Firefox, it's merely a visitor'? Yes, it is a visitor, but one which supports a big variety of plug-ins, a number of them very useful for search engine optimization. Therefore let's see what those plugins are:

1. SEOpen ( https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/570/ ): this can be one of the greatest and most used Firefox seo plug-ins, and has several resources which make it a favorite of mine. So let's see what it can do:

* in Google it could check for: backlinks, indexed pages, associated pages, cache and PageRank.

* in Yahoo and MSN: backlinks and indexed pages. To get another standpoint, we understand you check-out: link. Visit click for plus.google.com/+swellmarketing to explore why to see about it.

* for traffic details, Alexa: guide, backlinks and related sites. To explore more, we understand you check-out: https://plus.google.com/+swellmarketing/.

* key-word thickness of the very most used words o-n the page.

* DMOZ checker: see when the site is within the index.

* check for robots.txt.

* validator to test your site for problems (it uses the validator from www.w3.org).

There are other things, but these are the most crucial.

2. SEO Links ( http://www.webmasterbrain.com/seo-tools/firefox-extensions/seo-links/ ) is still another extension I personally use everyday. If the extension si active and you hover over a link a tooltip will appear that will show you Yahoo, MSN, and Google link popularity and rank information for the URL and anchor text set. When you are simply searching this can be annoying, but you can simply deactivate it having a right-click!

This could be quickly used to test your search-engine rankings for a particular page, and here is how: write up a list with all the keywords and keyphrases that you want to rank for, and then link these words or phrases to-the web-pages associated with them!

Now every time you want to check your ranks stimulate the Search Engine Optimisation Links expansion and float over the links -- you will see where your pages come in Google, Yahoo and MSN.

3. Do not waste anymore of one's precious screen property merely to uncover what your PageRank and AlexaRank is! SearchStatus ( https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/321/ ) may sit anywhere you want (I keep it in the status bar) and you'll receive the important information at a glance. But this small tool can do far more than that:

* it shows what metatags a niche site has

* assessments for backlinks and listed pages in Google, Yahoo and MSN

* it shows the record

* keyword thickness statement func-tion

* and best of all: the highlight 'nofollow' links will show you what links will be accompanied by search engine spiders -- invaluable when you wish to publish your website to a directory and don't know if it will matter from the seo perception.

So just in case you are not applying Firefox, go have it! It could be your best friend when it comes to search engine marketing!
