I run an article directory on my site, and I am seeing an increasing number of articles being presented, only for the backlink provided in the Resource Box. This is most likely due to the growing amount of PLR articles and material that is becoming available.

Today, there is certainly not anything wrong with this, I only think that authors who are doing this are missing out on possible traffic and/or consumers. Such resource boxes will only gain their site rankings in any se that values incoming links.

Is this a bad thing? No. Where they're losing out is as follows.

Much of the traffic to my post directory comes from search engines, by people looking for information on a specific topic. Now, this user types within their key words, presses o-n the search field, and is given a listing of relevant sites. They chose one, and are taken up to the author's article. They browse the article about, say, snowboarding, think 'This is interesting' and go to the author's resource box by the end of the article to see what else they've to say on this issue. There, they locate a link to some site promotion cellular ringtones. May be the audience planning to be impressed, or interested in this? Not very likely. They would like to check out snowboarding, not modify their phone. I believe one of three things will happen then:

The audience leaves the whole site in disgust. Lindexed contains further concerning how to do this hypothesis.

The viewer clicks on a link to your related article. We found out about linklicious price by browsing Yahoo.

The viewer clicks on a relevant Google AdSense (or similar contextual advertising) offer.

They don't click the author's resource link. That's a potential consumer dropped, very probably for good.

Yes, put a link in to your website in the resource package, but many article websites allow many links, so for goodness sake put a link in that' ;s related to the article subject as-well, and preferably put it in first, before you lose the client.

'But my site does not have such a thing related to that matter onto it'!

You can add something which does. Add an article service, and have the resource field saying 'To read more articles on this issue, click here.' Add a web directory, and have the text say 'To look at links to internet sites on this subject, just click here.' Or just visit ClickBank, search for related jobs, and have a link to them, together with the link saying something similar to 'If you want to find out more on this subject, buy this item.' Ideally, not just a direct url to the item, but a cloaked or redirected one.

Using this method, you still get that link to your website that you were after formerly, but, also, you have the chance to earn money from the audience in a new way. A situation. To get another viewpoint, consider glancing at: linklicious.me affiliate discussion. Plus, you do not appear to be someone just distributing purchased content on any subject just for the sake of the backlink it'll give you. A more professional look. Isn't it worth finding the time to create greater use of your source package?.
