The spa is surprisingly good, the purchase price was relatively low priced, but then again we hadnt bargained for the 25 percent taxes, but even allowing for the price is reasonable, but missing in the spa was a sauna and Jacuzzi.

The great pool and the spa replace the fact that the Taj Green Cove is not on the beach, so you can be fooled by the name, and while we knew this we didnt realize it was a twenty minute ride in a tuktuk to the Lighthouse beach, and this can be off putting.

To be fair the hotel and the resort were well around international elegant standards. We were in a collection, lovely view, lavish, DVD player, the truth is the majority of the trimmings, including a beautiful view.

The food did not stimulate, and the Curries restaurant offered more than it sent, and we were a bit disappointed in the breakfasts. As a result we ate out a great deal, and there were lots of eating houses/shacks within easy walking reach, although we found Lighthouse beach enters, and the beach it self quite tacky.

Finally the team were all unobtrusive, very ready to please, and very helpful, always the hallmark of a high class resort.
