from web site

Minecraft Servers

Every week, simply at the beginning of the weekend, we catch up with the WoW Insider staff and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" -- in any other case known as: WRUP. Be a part of us to see what we're up to in and out of sport, and catch us within the comments to tell us what you are taking part in, too!

Going to BlizzCon? No? Why not? It is the '90s! Everybody's going to conventions as of late!

Positive, it is in Southern California, and for many of you, that's a good distance from residence. However man, this is the '90s. They have planes now. And a few of those planes even have air phones. You may hook up your 14.4k modem to a type of and connect with your favourite Warcraft 2 BBS, maybe play a little Legend of the Red Dragon from 20,000 toes. Why not? It's the '90s!

What's that? You say it's not the '90s -- it is 2011? Nicely, in fact it's! I know precisely what at the moment is. See this Casio digital watch on my wrist? It has the day, week, month, and yr on it. Everyone's obtained one -- everyone, that is, who's dwelling within the '90s.

BlizzCon, the most well liked event of the '90s, is arising in a mere two weeks. So at present, along with the standard query of "What are you enjoying?" (Tremendous Nintendo and Scattergories, obvi), I had our prime-notch writers (a lot of whom have Tripod pages) answer a bonus question: "What terrific advice do you might have for the go-go BlizzCon attending folks of the '90s?"

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) This weekend will be spent finishing my entry for the worldwide Writing Contest -- in other words, writing like a madwoman.

As for BlizzCon -- make certain you've loads of water along, the convention hall is larger than it appears! Present up for panels early, examine the occasions schedule and determine what you wish to hit upfront. Also -- comfy sneakers. Significantly, you will be in your ft pretty much all day lengthy. Comfy sneakers are the most effective!

Allison Robert (@AllisonRobert) I will be going to a different wedding this weekend however will otherwise be on the PTR getting notes for an upcoming Shifting on tanking and healing the three new 5-mans.

As for BlizzCon, I have but to go, but when I had to guess from past experiences with educational conferences and the like, have just one bit of recommendation: Don't wear heels.

Alex Ziebart (@AlexZiebart) (gplus.to/alexziebart) Been playing some Dead Island and hopefully will get a hefty amount of co-op time in with a buddy of mine. Good coop video games are far more uncommon than they ought to be.

For BlizzCon, take more shirts than you think you'll need. For those who get super-sweaty, stop into your lodge room and change shirts. It's higher than being smelly and uncomfortable all day.

Chase Hasbrouck First WRUP /yay. Persevering with my feral soloing in venture in WoW (when Kuwaiti latency allows), else enjoying SpaceChem on Steam. All of the enjoyable of programming without the code!

BlizzCon: never been, but experience has taught me always to comply with the 3 W's when traveling: water, weight, and strolling (comfortably).

Daniel Desmond (@hazmacewillraid) I'll be doing a little bit little bit of PTR spelunking, making an attempt out the brand new dungeons and paladin changes, however largely I will be scratching a few more tallies into my wall with a plastic spoon, counting the times till Skyrim releases.

As for BlizzCon, this shall be my first! As such, I'll be sticking to my guildmates like black leather-based seats on a hot summer time day.

Daniel Whitcomb (@DanielWhitcomb) Since my mage and warrior are on hold until the 4.Three goes dwell, I could see if I can solo me some more tier 5 for my warlock. I am also playing some Aquaria and Bastion (once more) on Steam, so I may do some more with these games.

My advice? Hygiene. Particularly, double-, triple-, and quadruple-examine your travel bag. When you miss one thing like a toothbrush or a shaving package, likelihood is you're going to should pay an arm and a leg to replace it.

Dawn Moore (@dawnwow) Not enjoying anything this weekend, but I'll be watching a lot of StarCraft 2 and League of Legends at IPL3.

Advice for BlizzCon? Hmm ... Waiting in the badge pick-up line isn't vital if you do not need to be the first one into opening ceremonies. Just pick up your badge while everyone is in line for the ceremonies and you'll be in and out in 5 minutes.

Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives) I'm nonetheless on my honeymoon in NYC, however when i get again I will probably begin AC: Brotherhood, since my AC2 disc is scratched and I don't suppose I can end.

Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen) (gplus.to/foxvanallen) I have been in Philly for a strong part of the week, and I will be staying in Philly all through the weekend hanging with my good friend Chester. All kinds of enjoyable might be had. Like as we speak, I ate Dutch food. We are a terribly boring people, we Dutch.

My BlizzCon recommendation: If you wish to cling out with Fox, I counsel you get your request in forward of time, because there are a lot of you, very few nights in lovely Southern California, and just one Fox. Additional, I advise anyone who will not be from an space with Jack in the Box restaurants to go eat at a Jack within the Field restaurant. Oh my god.

Joe Perez (@Lodurzj) Extra LoL, I've a brand new champion to learn! Also more alt leveling in WoW and really wanting ahead to another select my adventure day Sunday; I'll probably begin earlier (three p.m.) this week and go till 5. I will even be livestreaming the adventure, so ensure to watch Twitter for the link and time!

Biggest BlizzCon blunder: not sporting snug and supportive shoes. Critically, you stand and walk a lot that you're a idiot if you do not. Also, the quantity of ache your feet can be in will likely be stunning. Additionally, drink / bring a number of water and try to eat outside of the convention middle. Lots of excellent local places to nom issues at which can be a fast stroll from the convention middle.

Josh Myers (@Elamqt) I'm liking my military of premade and important-transferred shaman on the PTR. I also have a lone mage premade who was arrange with spec/glyphs/keybinds/etc. after which promptly forgotten.

I haven't any BlizzCon advice, though I caution all Wow Insider meetup attendees to avoid eye contact with Fox. That's just common sense, though.

(Excellent point. That is how I select my prey. -- Fox)

Kelly Aarons (@Cadistra) Hoping for some high quality time with my DS, however I am undecided, as I'll be working at my job, doing art, and it's Thanksgiving up here in Canada-land, so there's that. I'll be heading out of city Sunday night to see my household.

BlizzCon advice? Take the health-test:

Deliver a number of water with you.

Wear comfy footwear (with insoles if mandatory). Remember to stretch your decrease back each hour or so!

Bring some protein-rich snacks with you -- pure food bars, dry-roasted nuts (like almonds and cashews). Con meals is overpriced and full of crap, and this will keep you fuller longer. /well being nerd

Mat McCurley (@gomatgo) (gplus.to/gomatgo) I'm a damaged file. League of Legends and WoW.

Tips for BlizzCon: bring a bottle of water if you'll be able to, take issues slow, wear comfortable sneakers, and buy Mat McCurley drinks at the WoW Insider Reader Meetup.

Matt Low (@matticus) In a change of pace, taking part in on my Nintendo DS. Replaying some Ultimate Fantasy VI! My faaaaaavourite Closing Fantasy sequence -- ever!

Matt Rossi (@matthewrossi) (gplus.to/MatthewWRossi) My hand is totally screwed up now, so bad I do not assume I can play much of anything. (I'm typing this one-finger, hunt-and-peck fashion).

As for BlizzCon, I've by no means been.

Matt Walsh (@Rhidach) Some Sword of the Stars with some buddies, for (possible) final recreation before the sequel comes out. We'll ship the old girl off in fashion. I'll also be getting some severe Minecraft time in since my guild's server was down last week. Have to make up for misplaced time!

This will only be my second BlizzCon, but the largest factor I picked up last 12 months is to be actually early to anything you wish to go to -- panels or whatever. Except for badge pickup on Thursday evening. It is open for hours and badges aren't limited in the same approach seats or house is. No want to indicate up early for that line; go later that night and coast proper through to pickup.

Michael Gray (@writegray) I will be capturing weddings by way of most of the wedding, which is directly thrilling and terrifying. I'm not the pro of the team, so I besides to spend loads of time going "Hurrr ..."
The weekend is the proper time to kick again, chill out and enjoy some recreation time. Are minecraftservers.blog ? Cannot get sufficient raiding? Rolling a brand new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favourite strategy to play World of Warcraft, let us know within the comments what you are playing this weekend!
