Michelle Krill"In order to encourage and promote the reuse of computers, GSA is proud to sponsor the Computers for Learning (CFL) website.
Computers for Learning
The CFL program evolved as a guide for implementing Executive Order 12999, Educational Technology: Ensuring Opportunity for all Children in the Next Century. The order encourages agencies, to the extent permitted by law, to transfer computers and related peripheral equipment excess to their needs directly to schools and educational nonprofit organizations. The CFL website allows eligible recipients to view and select the computer equipment that federal agencies have reported as excess." -

Mark DoehnerThis website is targeted towards the benefit of children but addressed mainly to the teachers. It talks about an organization which provides surplus technology to schools who cannot afford it for their students. It seems to be a great program which is supporting students in an area which is quickly becoming mainstream both in and out of the classroom. Technology is ever growing and changing, and to provide students with a basic foundation and understanding of this technology is a must; thus this site showing teachers how they can obtain this technology is beneficial and a necessity.

Austin WadeA growing concern for those in the education field, is that as the world becomes increasingly technology based we must keep our children as close to the leading edge as possible in order to give them a viable chance for success later in life. The website and program established by "Computers For Learning" is along this exact frame of mind. As education continues to grow with technology, we as educators, must ensure that our students are given equal opportunity in learning and in life. In an attempt to follow the guidelines of NETS, this type of government program is the foundation of what NETS offers and represents, as without technology at the fingers of students their is not need for technology goals. To ensure the future we must ensure that each student has what they need in order to succeed and grow.

Velda KnutsonThis is a site I found through the ISTE educational resources link under Equity. I believe this website is important because it might provide a teacher with access to acquire a or some computers for their school if it qualifies under this USA.gov website.
