  I've been using ReadTheWords with several adult ESOL learners -- for listening and pronunciation focus. I love it! They love it! http://readthewords.com is on my "top recommended sites" list. Some students report "having fun!" with it; many others return to class with specific observations or questions. Especially helpful is the ease with which one can adjust the speed.
  Students report it is very helpful to compare, for example, their professors' voices and a text read in class with "what it could have sounded like." Or to copy a transcript from a live news recording -- and here it more legibly, in a different voice. It helps them to realize "it's not all me."
