The goal is to make the classroom more accessible and effective for each and every student. CAST created this UDL and it is now the main form for the international reform movement. All of their knowledge and work comes based off educational resource and development, capacity building, and professional learning. CAST goal is to provide solutions for challenges within education. Also, provides training, online courses and consulting. UDL provides instructional goals, assessments, methods, and materials that can fit each of the students needs. They focus on the engagement, representation, action, and expression that is important for students to achieve proper education and learn. UDL also helps students and teacher meets curriculum goals and helps teach them to a diverse group of students. Minimizes the barriers and maximizes learning for all students. The curriculum goal is to provide learning opportunities for each student. All students need recognition, skills, and care for learning to learn, and curriculum needs to include all three. Materials engage and challenge all students.

langleemCAST is a wonderful resource that I looked at after reading an article on UDL. I found it to be similar to the UDL Guidelines as they both provide educators with tools that are effective with students who have individual learning needs. One thing I particularly like about the CAST website is that they have their own UDL tool kit that I have found to be helpful.
