Summary: This site allows students to have full lessons and a topic that a teacher has approved, the lessons contain audio and have games to reinforce the topics that are being explained. Like many other website there is a sections specifically for teachers that allow them to see the material, as well as plan to use the website lessons to the fullest.
Use in classroom- This site is different from most because it offers full lessons, so in the classroom the teacher can choose to have the students do the full lesson or break up the online lesson while also having some in class learning.
Visual Principles: Visually the initial website was lacking visual appeal but when getting further into the games and lessons the visual aid grew to really capture the students attention. -

OVERVIEW: The Learning Planet website is a site that provides learning games for children of young ages. Learning Planet games are educational and the games are all safe and free. This website is designed specifically for children ages pre-k all the way through seventh grade. Although, it does have very helpful links for teachers to use as well which include games and activities to use in their classroom. The resources that are provided with this site include daily worksheets, sudoku’s and many more to help further children’s knowledge that they gain through this website.
CONTENT: The overall content of this site is very good and provides many educational games that are great for kids to play. The games are valuable to their learning and I would recommend this site to parents and other educators.
DESIGN: This website has a very well thought out design. Each graphic is used effectively and do make a good contribution to the site. Also, the index is very easy to follow and brings the viewer directly where they wish to go on the site. The overall layout is very eye-catching and appealing to viewers. -

Jenn BannanFor students this is useful because you select your grade level and there are a bunch of games gthat are appropriate for your specific grade. There a lot of great games for each grade with variety of subjects as well. There also is a tab for teachers with a lot of useful materials. Some of the materials available are early learning activities, brain and memory games, language arts and word problems, math games, creative activities, quiz games, and etc. Teachers can use the games for students in class or at home or use the activities and materials from the teacher's page as well.
