Christine CsusmI scored in the "Cyber Saint" range. I do not use instant messaging, facebook, or email too often, and I also have strong feelings against bullying. Today, cyber bullying is very much alive. As teachers we can positvely influence our students to have online etiquite and morals. The role of the teacher is to step in when he/she recognizes bullying as well as enforce rules of respect within the classroom. They should also tell students to report cyber bullying to an adult or school administrator when they witness bullying whether online or in person.

Melanie HastyIn taking the cyber test, I was a "Cyber Saint". For this reason it is important that I become educated on the potential corruption internet relationships can provide.
"Teenangels" are a group of well informed, well equipped teens who educate their peers on the seriousness of online cyberbullying. This program reminds me of DARE; a program to educate children about drugs. One unique difference teenangles has over DARE is that teens are informing teens. Teens understand their peers and the struggles/interactions they might have online. For that reason, this is a unique and effective program to end cyber bullying once and for all.
As I read "What methods work with different types of cyber bullies?", I began to see the reality that exists in the cyber world. Each student struggles with a different temptation in regards to cyberbullying in the cyber world. Therefore, we, as educators, must be informed on how to recognize and address each type of cyber bully. -
heribeduI'm a Cyber saint because I am nice to most people on line or not. However, I can see how the test could be eye opening for others. On this site one of the things I learned was how to approach cyberbullyng in the classroom. That is the site shows how different types of bullying takes place with out the intention of the bully. The site also gives great advice on how to understand manage and deal with discipline students accused of cyberbullyng. This is great information that I had not even thought about.

toni hazlettI am a Cyber Saint:)
I learned about TeenAngels who are educated on cyberbullying and are able to spread the word to their peers. This seems like an effective way to spread and decrease the issue. I was reading another article about cyberbullying and it was saying that when students realize that their peers have don't approve of something (such as cyberbullying) then they are more likely to stop the behavior. So TeenAngels seems like an intelligent way to decrease the cases of cyberbullying. -

Gina BullockMy score of "Are you a CyberBully" was 3 which means that I am a cyber saint! The only ones I answered to were using bad language and saying something mean when I was joking. From the cyber bully quiz I learned that the littlest things are considered bullying that has long term effects on students. As a girl I am familiar with "mean girl" bullying and that it is usually based around gossip. This will help me as an educator because I will be able to detect it through conversations, actions and relationships between my students even if they think I don't see it.

amyregardOn the quiz "Are You a Cyberbully" I was not considered a cyber bully. Most of the questions I would never dream of committing against another person. I did admit to 3 of the questions, but it was all towards friends of mine and was not meant as hurtful and was not viewed as hurtful by my friends.
I have never heard of the group "Tweenangels" and I think it is such a great idea to have today's children who have access to social media doing the research to find out new ways that children are being bullied online. The other information that I have read is information I was aware of and so I am happy to hear that to find the problem we are asking the victims themselves.#ed422 cyberbullying bullying internetsafety Cybersafety kids
