次郎長ブランド狙う？　美尾組「清水一家」継承に住民困惑

次郎長は現在の静岡市清水区美濃輪町生まれ。博徒として東海道を行脚したが、晩年は清水港開港や英語教育に尽力した。子分も遺志を継ぎ「堅気に迷惑をかけない」という精神を守り、地元住民の思い入れも強い。

　戦後、博徒やぐれん隊が急増。暴力団と名付けられ、一般人を巻き込む抗争が相次いだ。５代目次郎長は「暴力団と呼ばれるのは次郎長親分に申し訳ない」と昭和３６年に解散宣言。著書に「カタギを怖がらせる（中略）暴力団だけには代紋を渡したくない」と記した。
