"Build a flicker circuit
Electronic circuits to make lights flicker can be quite expensive. However, this circuit is easy to make and costs only a few dollars.
The flicker effect will be caused by the erratic behavior of a thermal cutout switch in a fluorescent lamp starter. This circuit will work with lamps ranging from 7 to 40 watts. You can use more than one lamp so long as you do not exceed the wattage total.
It is strongly recommended to put the starter into a metal electrical box because it will get hot.
Below is a suggestion to make a reliable and safe connection to the terminals on the lamp starter.
