New Stand-Up DVDs You Should Buy This Summer

from web site

comedy movies releases films funny

The advent of new stand-up ads for every comedian's collection, as well as the growing popularity of online comedy websites, mean that it is now easier than ever to find and purchase these comedy products. But with so many options available, who can choose which one is best? What will be the best comedy DVD for me, you ask? How about my fellow comic friends? Here are some tips and guidelines to help you choose the best comedy DVDs.

Chatting with Comedy Warehouse, I discovered that one of the new stand-up beds available was from a group of improvisers called the Chameleons. The new comedy DVD includes a collection of some of their best shows, as well as some of their most memorable sketches. Each show comes with a host of hilarious jokes and there are over a dozen songs included as well. The Chameleons also include a number of live shows from their popular comedy club appearances, some of which are included on this DVD.

Another new comedy DVD that I recently purchased was called "You Can't Spell... Yet, ." This is a very humorous stand-up show from the early days of the channel 4 network and showcases the wacky, surreal sense of humor that has made Andy Kindler and company so famous. The DVD includes an eight-minute teaser, a sixteen-minute full-length show, as well as bonus features. These include a video documentary of Andy Kindler performing live in concert, a look at some of his early work (such as "Foo Dog", and "The Best Show"), a look at the evolution of the Andy Kindler character, and a deleted scene from one of his final comedy acts. All in all, this is a pretty fun DVD that is worth picking up.

A couple of other newly released comedy DVDs that have me laughing are "Irene's Baby" starring Eric Stoltz and "The Wedding Show" with Jeff Dunham. Each of these comedies is a hilarious live action comedy that gives the audience a true look into the lives of the actual couples involved in the actual moments depicted in the stand-up comedy. "Irene's Baby" features Eric Stoltz in a story that takes place after he accidentally hit his head on a golf ball during a game of golf. Naturally, he is in a lot of pain, but thanks to the quick-fix medicine at the local clinic, he is able to stay alive. Then he meets a gorgeous blonde lady named Elaine, who happens to be Stoltz's next door neighbor. Within a few days, they start dating and things rapidly progressing until Elaine asks Eric to marry her - which he does, on the aisle in a moving video montage of their happy union.

Another one of my favorite comedy DVDs that I recently discovered was "The Wedding Show" starring Jess Stewart and Mike Myers. This funny comedy showcases both of these celebrities' unique ability to draw in the audience with their wonderful onscreen chemistry. The DVD includes an opening sequence with the happy couple as a couple walking down the isles of their wedding limo together, and throughout the rest of the film you are constantly entertained by the witty banter between the two funnymen. In particular, after they finally drive off to their honeymoon, there is a sequence in which both comedians perform their famous impressions of married women.

My favorite comedy DVD that came out last month was "You Can't Take It With You", starring Jason Byrne, and it really showcases Jason's acting abilities. He plays a recluse living in a small mountain town, and has a strange way of getting the people around him to do his bidding. Along with Alleyne Cook, Kevin Dunn, and several other well-known comedy performers, this DVD is chock full of one of the best get-up-and-go moments you are likely to find on a comedy dvd.

This is the true story of how the Mad Hatter met his wife. The entire sitcom is narrated by its lead, played by Steve Martin, and the funny moments are priceless. The stand-up show in particular is one of the most hilarious features of the entire movie, and the Blu-ray release of the movie includes all of the cut scenes. The movie is very funny, and the perfect comedy DVD to enjoy this summer.

These are just some of the many stand-up ads that are available right now on the movie channel. I recommend that you go online and start ordering your favorite episodes, or you can also pick up a copy of one of the many comedies that are available on DVD right now. If you're looking for something different, try something with a little more adult content, or go back to the classics that you know and love. I know you will enjoy the new Blu-ray and DVD collection!
