Many American Air Force personnel, either retired or on active duty, keep a number of firearms on hand for emergencies and other times when they require a rapid fire weapon. The Air Force has issued a wide range of publications that detail general Air Force etiquette and regulation for owning, maintaining, and operating a gunship. Some of these are available at:

US Army Regulation (AR 15-4). US ARMY Ballistic Dictionary. The author of this publication is the Air Force masterchief of publications. This reference text provides the bases for understanding the way the United States military generally uses firearms. In addition to the standard description of rifles, it describes airsoft sniper rifles, general rifles, and handguns.

American Forces Collectible Air Gun (AFICG) has a great variety of air rifles and pistols for sale. Among those featured in this publication include: American Forces Bullhorn, Elite Bulldog, Elite Tactical Magnum, Mosquito, PTR, Scorpion, Super AEG, Tippman, Voodoo Tactical, and Yellowbox. here In addition to the bullhorn, each of these models can be purchased separately and can be used as a stand-alone air rifle or as an airsoft pistol. All of the above models can be used as airsoft pistols.

Rifles need to be cocked before each shot. If your rifle doesn't have a manual cocking device, you may wish to purchase one. If your rifle comes with a manual cocking device, you will need to use an adapter to cock the rifle using a 9-volt battery. You can contact our for more help.

A Hatsan chronograph refers to both a digital thermometer/compass and a trigger mechanism. The chronograph on a Hatsan airsoft rifle has an olefin window that is exposed through the buttstock and a steel block with a magnetic reference. The trigger is a plunger-driven device that is activated by pulling back on the bolt. The result is increased accuracy and a faster firing rate. With a chronograph and a trigger mechanism, this air rifle is ideal for a hunter looking to fire a shot at a target at a faster rate of speed.

When using a Hatsan airsoft rifle, it is important to know how to operate the various features. For example, the bolt action is a series of cams that run from left to right as the bolt moves into the receiver. Once the bolt is in the receiver, it goes through a locking block and into the chamber that houses the bullet. From there it is taken to the tip of the barrel, lined up with the crosshairs, and then the gas valve is closed to provide regulated breathing through the gas tube. When you are ready to fire a shot, simply cock the gun, sight in, and press the "fire" button.

There are a few other important safety features that must be employed when using a Hatsan airsoft gun. The first is cocking before the shot, and as soon as the bullet has hit the target, and the bullet is in the air, you must gently cock the rifle back, allowing the slide to slowly and quietly slide up and down the barrel. To insure safety, keep your fingers close together and wrap them around the buttstock. In the event of an accidental firing, place the safety on and make sure your finger is securely encased in the trigger guard. Remember, with these guns only the magazine is loaded, the user must be well-informed about how to load the gun and ensure that all the pellets are pointed in the right direction before pulling the trigger.
