What’s New for that Kooyong Classic 2016, including Free Entry After 3pm!
The 2016 Priceline Pharmacy Kooyong Classic develops at Kooyong Lawn Tennis
Club from Tuesday January 12 to Friday January 15, 2016.
The event is usually a key lead-in on the season-opening Grand Slam, the
Australian Open.
The Priceline Pharmacy Kooyong Classic would be the only Australian Open
warm-up event for being played in Melbourne. Which means that it’s the one
opportunity for players to get ready with the Australian
open 2016 live playing on exactly the same court surface and in precisely
the same weather conditions.
In 2016 the tournament will feature an expanded, 12-player, draw. View the full

New Initiatives with the Kooyong Classic 2016
If you’ve read my blog you’ll recognize how much I love live tennis,
particularly live tennis in Melbourne, home city. So it’s fair to mention that
the Kooyong Classic already includes a special invest my heart! And for 2016
the organisers made the tournament a lot more accessible to ensure more people
can take pleasure in the fantastic atmosphere, entertainment and tennis.
Ticket Prices originate from only $20. View detailed information of Kooyong
Classic ticket pricing.
After 3pm entry are going to be FREE per day in the tournament, allowing
patrons access to your Kooyong Common area and Kooyong Stadium (should the last
match remains in play). This means that you can check out the grounds after
work, benefit from the atmosphere, food, drinks, entertainment and activities
down the page. And even watch some tennis if you can still find matches in play
(which there are often, occasionally until the sun sets!)
Five food trucks is going to take centre stage on the tournament’s vibrant
Kooyong Common. Cuisines about the pass include Soul Kitchen Pizza, Sliders on
Tyres, White Guy Cooks Thai, Crepes n Coffee and Nandos, high will also be
Pimms and Champagne tents for diners which enjoy a post-work drink using their
foodie treats.
The lawned area alongside centre court will use a lawn bowls rink, a large
screen so patrons is able to keep an eye about the on-court action, live music
each night and an exciting range of sponsor marquees and activations.
“Our new – reinvigorated – Kooyong Common, is really a fantastic place for that
whole family to return and benefit from the tennis and intensely soak up
Kooyong’s unique and intimate atmosphere,” said tournament director Brian
Cooney. “The food trucks can be a first for Kooyong and we’re eager for seeing
a lot of new faces receiving a taste in the tournament and enjoying some lazy
January evenings within the lawn.”
