A mission statement is one of the first few things that you would have to draft after establishing your company and before reaching out to the clients. A mission statement clearly mentions the company’s aspirations, services, and the impact that it wishes to make.

Mission statements do not have to necessarily be formal so you can get creative with the statement as long as it conveys what you wish to communicate. An important consideration while drafting a mission statement is the industry that you are catering to. The mission statement of a cosmetic company would differ from an IT service provider in a lot of ways.

This distinction brings us to the mission statement for companies offering manual testing services. This is the focus of the blog. We will discuss the things that you should include and analyze the relevant points with respect to testing Service Company.

What to Include?

You will find a whole lot of resources on the Internet that will list things that you should include in your mission statement. Here, I have compiled those for you. Remember, that mission statement reflects what you wish to achieve as a company in comparison.

  • Use action verbs to convey what you wish to accomplish. For example, Deliver flawless Software to . . .
  • Mention the efforts that you are wanting to make to accomplish what you want. An example can be mention something like—leverage on technological innovations to accomplish . . .
  • Incorporate simple words. It is a statement and not a thesis. So, try to use words that can be easily understood and do not overdo by using ambiguous words.
  • Include what makes sense to your clients, vendors, and all related parties. A good mission statement should cater to all those you interact with not only your customers.
  • Write a to-the-point which needs to be a small paragraph of two to four lines. Anything less or more might not serve the purpose.

How to Relate These to a Testing Company?

Now, you have a basic idea of what a mission statement should comprise of. But, then drafting one for a testing company might still require a little more specific terminology. You do not have to name the tools that you will use nor do you have to list all the services that you are providing. You just have to draft a statement that conveys your aspirations in the right manner.

An example is to write something that is a blend of what you want to do, how do you want to do that, and who or what is your focus. As a Manual Testing Services Company, your mission statement should be a reflection of your passion. A generic example can be—to deliver flawless Software by exploiting technology to its fullest in order to pamper our clients and benefit our partners. This example includes all the information required in a simple statement.
