The brand new Weight Loss Pill on the Market, Is Contrave Any Good?

from web site

The attraction of the weight-loss capsule apparently hasn't waned whatsoever. A new compound, the one which passes the brand name Contrave, has joined many of other brands and compounds already on the shelves, having just been approved by the FDA. It's been formulated with two different medications at the same time. And so, here we go all over again - is it safe, will not it really do what it's supposed to do?

It's an interesting blend really for a weight-loss pill. Contrave contains two familiar drugs, repurposed for a new goal. It contains Bupropion, the familiar antidepressant, and naltrexone, a drug that folks who have been to alcohol consumption rehab, know about. Therefore why would anyone want to treat weight damage with antidepressants and treatment drugs?

The antidepressant is intended to help raise the degrees of dopamine that you have floating about in your brain. What that does is, it depresses your appetite and makes Buy Phenq in France you are feeling far more energetic. In addition to the alcohol rehabilitation chemical on the other hand, just makes your food less delicious. Even if the antidepressant enables you to eat somewhat, you won't love what you're eating, and you also won't want to eat very much. Now that noises like a special kind of hell.

So does it really work? They've done year-long trials several times with 1000s of obese people. They found that folks who took Contrave lost perhaps 4% excess fat than people who took the placebo. As far as the FDA is concerned, if a new drug won't make you lose weight that's at least 5% better than someone taking a sugar pill, it isn't a good enough medication. Still, in some of their tests, they found that their subjects did lose 5% more. And the medicine passed FDA approval.

Thus this isn't a weight-loss pill that promises incredible results. Is it at least safe? In studies, some individuals found that they had a slight increase in blood pressure when they took Contrave - at least for the first couple of months. People taking the drug also often complain of feeling nauseous, having a hard time with constipation and and having continuous headaches. One thing about Contrave is that it doesn't bring people down with heart disease the way Fen-Phen or Meridia did at one time.

So what are you supposed to do? Is safe drug or not? No one really knows what it does on the long phrase; over the short-term though, its weight-loss effects are somewhat encouraging. You probably want to discuss it with your physician.
