A former Chicago cop moves to a small Florida town and joins the state police.
The on and off relation between the main characters keeps this show likable. I also like the way Jim is not perceived as a bad boy but a "tempted" male with a conscience. The range in age between the Dr. and Jim make their professional relationship believable. I especially like the use of the culture in south Florida. The Seminole Indian episode in the casino was enlightening. I do not know how much of the information disclosed in the episode is real but it was truly interesting. The reference to the Mud Bowl which takes place in the Fall to introduce the college scouts to south Florida football players was a good touch. I know it means more to watch a show that relates to a section of the country that I am familiar with. Making Callie a horse walker in her early life was a fantastic way to show the beauty of central Florida's Ocala horse farms. Persons from other parts of the country can see by the cleverness of the writers how beautiful Florida truly is and the different cultures that reside in it.
Please bring this show back for more. My family was glued to the set when it was on. We have to see what happens to Jim, Callie, Jeff and Carlos. All the characters are wonderful. If this network does not pick it up for another season, try another network or another time frame. I noticed it collected quite a few awards. Surely that can keep the show running. I was unfamiliar with any of the characters in this show but now we plan to check out other shows they have been in and check those out too. Please don't leave us hanging like this. Let us know if there is anything else that can be done to insure they all come back. The show ran perfectly with the interaction between all the actors. Carlos was wonderful as Jim's best friend. I wish they could find a way to keep the hospital running somehow. I am a nurse and I enjoyed that too. Thanks.
The popular hit A&E Network drama television series "The Glades" Los Angeles casting director is accepting submissions from Los Angeles based male and female actors of all ages and types for Season 3. They are building their files of L.A. talent who are willing to work as "local hire" in the Miami or Ft. Lauderdale areas. This is for co-starring and guest starring roles. In addition to the speaking roles, the extras casting director in Miami is hiring numerous locals, all types from children to senior citizens, for general background performer work on the show. Shooting on Season 3 will take place through early July, 2012.
