Earl and Hank have only one thing in common: they're both L.A.P.D. rejects. One just got kicked out, the other can't even get in. After confronting each other on opposite sides of the law during a traffic stop that escalates out of control, these two luckless individuals end up partnered as lowly security guards. Despite being damned to the lowest rung of the law enforcement ladder, Earl and Hank uncover a sophisticated smuggling operation led by Nash and his band of thugs. When Earl and Hank get their hands on some hot property, they go on the run from, first the bad guys, then the L.A.P.D.--led by Lt. Washington and Detective McDuff. What these two unlikely partners do to law enforcement is a crime, but they just might save the day. That is, if they don't kill each other first. Two mismatched security guards are thrown together to bust a smuggling operation. This move made me sick straight through from beginning to end. I rented it expected something more like Bad Boys (in which Martin Lawrence was actually funny). What I got was 88 minutes of offensive, horrible film making.

Whites would be offended by this movie, and blacks should (and indeed many are) outraged by it. Martin Lawrence's nonstop racist "jokes" and racial stereotyping is supposed to be a funny parody but just comes off as plain stupid, insulting, and offensive.

This movie is the low point of Lawrence's career. I thought that he was very funny in Black Knight and both Bad Boys movies, but his "humor" in this movie is just painful to watch, and his blatant racism makes the movie very uncomfortable to watch...for people of any color.

Of course, there was more wrong with this movie then just the racism. The 88 minutes felt like three hours of horribly butchered plot lines and painfully lame dialogue. Watching it felt like a bad dream that kept playing over and over again in your mind, except that it wasn't nearly as productive as sleeping. I just wish I had that hour-and-a-half of my life back...

0 out of 10...if only IMDb would let me... National Security is another film that digs a grave deeper into the film carrer of Martin Lawernce. I don't know why Lawerence was paid twenty millon for this turkey he sure didn't earn it. Even the always good Steve Zahn and Bill Duke are wasted in this crap of a movie. I didn't laugh or crack a smile once. Skip this one at all costs. Fails to meld suspense and farce or to bring even the wildest pursuits and smash-ups any visual sense of comedy. a5c7b9f00b
