The 3rd film of P.R.C's "Texas Ranger" series. The source that shows 1943 as the year of the Alternate Title of "Shootin' Irons" is incorrect. This film was was not known under the title of "Shootin' Irons" until 1947 when PRC cut it to 45 minutes and re-issued it under the changed title, along with several other films from this series and some from Buster Crabbe's "Billy the Kid" series. The songs for this film, and a couple of other films in this series, were credited to "Tex Coe." A search for a songwriter named Tex Coe will prove fruitless, since "Tex Coe" is a joint effort of stars Dave (Tex) O'Brien and James (Jim) Newill.
