The crew of Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 51, particularly the paramedic team, and Rampart Hospital respond to emergencies in their operating area.
This series features the adventures of the paramedics of Los Angeles County Fire Dept. Station 51, John Gage and Roy Desoto. Together, they respond to emergencies ranging from false alarms to major disasters. As at this time, the Paramedic program, which is designed to keep emergency patients alive long enough to get to medical facilities, is still a recent service, the paramedics must be guided by licensed medical personnel through radio contact on site. This is where the staff of Rampart Hospital come in with Doctors Brackett and Early as well as Head Nurse McCall providing the necessary instructions for the paramedics to do their jobs. In addition to that, we see the work of the medical staff on their own as deal with the medical problems they encounter.
I'm trying to find out what episodes these three particular scenes were in. They were in NBC's original airing and also when TV Land was airing the reruns. I asked Universal and they said they need to know what the names of the episodes were before they can help me find out why they weren't included in any of the season 1-6 DVD sets. I don't have access to that info. TV Land said they don't have access to that info either. Does anyone out there have an answer for me?

Johnny continues to have his knee go out on him then gets told he will have to have surgery to repair his knee or he will lose the use of it.
Roy has to perform a tracheotomy in the field.
While Roy is at the hospital with a patient, Johnny gets hurt and goes into cardiac arrest while being transported to the hospital on top of the engine. Roy and Dr. Bracket have to stabilize him on top of the engine before the can bring him into the hospital.
Emergency! was a fantastic show and a lot of current shows pale in comparison to it. The "Crazy Credits" that were listed were because, just like Adam-12, this show was based on actual cases that had been dealt with by the Fire Department. The stories were taken from Fire Department case files! The stories, therefore, were not made up and the writers would write scripts using these case files. There was humor, moments of sadness, and concern for people. You got to see how the Paramedics worked together with the fire crew and the Hospital staff - as well as how the Hospital staff worked together. It was a family-friendly show that parents had no fears for their children seeing anything inappropriate - there are very few new shows now T.V. now that would hold true to that statement.
