Deeply hurt after getting dumped by his girlfriend, underachiever Rell feels rejected and alone, however, when an adorable, L.A. drug kingpin's fluffy, tiny little kitten ends up on his doorstep, he will miraculously recover from his break-up in the furry embrace of his new-found feline friend: Keanu. As Rell and his cousin Clarence bond with the kitten, they will inevitably become inseparable, however, when Keanu disappears, the two cousins will have no other choice but to comb the suburbs of Los Angeles, deep into the notorious 17th Street Blips gang territory who seem to have taken Keanu under their wing. In the end, is a new gangsta persona and a pair of badass nicknames enough to outsmart Cheddar, the gang's infamous leader, and his team of itchy-fingered gunslingers? Rell is an ordinary man living an ordinary life until a kitten is dropped on his front porch, and he doesn't know that his life is going to change. Soon later, his kitten Keanu is abducted by gangsters and him and his cousin, Clarence, go out on an ultimate adventure to get Keanu back. Key and Peele bring a certain type of comedy that is not for everyone. Similar to Will Ferrell movies, you just have to be in to that type of humor. For me, this movie did not disappoint. There were a few real laugh out loud moments, and a lot of chuckles. Overall, I was entertained, and can see the humor in the entire movie being about a tiny kitten. For me, Jordan (Peele) was the funniest in this movie. When he went in and out of the characters they were pretending to be around the "bad guys", it was believable and he played both characters really well. Key seemed to be a little too far out of his comfort zone. Overall, I would recommend going to watch this movie. Friends hatch a plot to retrieve a stolen kitten by posing as drug dealers for a street gang. Keanu is the kind of movie that is so super dumb and bland that comes out with some good ratings out of nowhere the 2 leading men are bland and not funny although Jordan Peele was kinda the more interesting character of the 2 many jokes fell flat although some of the action is handled pretty well but the movie is just retarded full of dumb jokes with this two guys trying to save this little stolen kitten named Keanu who by the way is super cute and gives the best performance out of the whole cast. Guys in the end Keanu is a dumb, unfunny, lame movie that i laughed only once basically the time when George Michael appeared and started singing in some kind of dream in Keegan-Michael Key's head i'll give this film a 4.9/10 If there was a strong enough story to latch the jokes on to, Keanu might have worked. As it stands, it reeks of a grossly underdeveloped sketch extended to feature length.
