Almost two years after a virus wiped out most of the human race, Phil Miller only wishes for some company, but soon gets more than he bargained for when that company shows up in the form of other survivors.
This is the story about the life and adventures of the last man on Earth. Phil Miller was once just an average guy who loved his family and hated his job at the bank - now he's humanity's last hope. Will he ever find another person alive on the planet? Would hoping that she is a female be asking too much?
When the first episodes started out, my impression was that the show was mediocre and didn't have enough about Phil truly being the last man on earth.
Phil has become more and more annoying, to the point that the show could move in a great direction by killing his character off. His acting is painfully bad on top of that. The other three actors have been great, but there's only so much they can do when the lead actor is awful.
Add in the excessive fat jokes, and I have better things to watch than this. Racism's probably up next. Hopefully this is cancelled and we never have to watch anything by this team of writers again.
It seems original, and it maybe is, but in the end what you get is a regular relationship drama with really unrealistic behavior. Phil's character is this childish man, that even in the post apocalyptic future acts like a baby. I am sure that there's some symbolism there and a point, but I felt so uncomfortable and awkward watching it that I just turned of the TV. The other characters on the other hand are so naive that makes them worse than children. It should be a comedy, but it isn't. The biggest mistake is that it deals with very basic human emotions you will find it difficult to relate to anyhting what this TV show is trying to convey because, like I said previously the characters are intolerable children.All in all, not good.
