Sydney Fox is a university professor and black belt who globe-trots after lost, stolen and rumored to exist artifacts and antiquities. Professor Sydney Fox is head of the archeology department at Chicago University. She can inspire her students very well, but is often absent on short notice, unable to resist the call of the field, which is however tolerated because it can pay off big for the university's museum as she's a world-class relic hunter. Her scholarly brilliant English academic assistant, Nigel Bailey, has his reservations about being dragged along all over the world on most of her treasure hunts, but puts up with the risks and inconveniences of the guests out of a sense of duty and because of the appeal the athletic lady adventurer seems to have on most men in the series. The third permanent cast member is their office secretary, during most seasons vain airhead Claudia whose rich father is frightfully well-connected, notably with the chancellor, later the far more competent Karen Petrusky; both usually stay in college, minding things there and doing some research, booking etcetera, but on occasion also get to play a more active part, and in both cases tend to make use of their female charms too. While each episode is a treasure hunt on its own, some other characters recur twice or more, mainly rival relic hunters and/or personal acquaintances, such as Sydney's many former lovers, a secret agent and Nigel's brother. I have seen relic hunter for about 10 times and i like it more every time i see it. I love the character of sydney and I surely do like nigel's. I regret the fact that lindy booth couldn't go till the end with her role, cause claudia was the funnyest character. i hope you'll get to see this TV series as many times as i did, and you'll surely fall in love with it, as i did. well good bye and "catch relic hunter", as tia wrote in an autograph once. I'm pretty sure that no one who has seen at least one episode didn't want to see the next too, so...what can i say...watch at least the first one, and the other ones will come themselves. what a coincidence, cause today is an episode from the 3rd series and i may miss it if i stay longer to write to you. have fun and don't forget to watch relic hunter What I actually learned from this series is that, allover the world, steam trains are still used and no one, except America and Scotland, ever heard of electric trains. Also, outside America, England, Germany and France, people are still using 1950s cars as a mean of transportation, especially when it comes to taxi cars. Speaking of cars, this is how I know that the Romania related episodes were not actually filmed in Romania, as there was no Dacia 1310 car on the streets, plus the plate numbers were not Romanian style. However, the banners from "Bucharest" were in Romanian and also those used on Hungary related episodes were in Hungarian. Other than that, it was a pretty good show, although I was pretty curious to see, in the end, how Sydney would destroy the infamous Gurel Nataz. a5c7b9f00b
