Sharing a special bond with George, the extraordinary albino silver-back gorilla, the retired U.S. Army soldier and now a San Diego Wildlife Preserve primatologist, Davis Okoye, will see everything in his life turn upside down when his intelligent companion is accidentally exposed to Dr Kate Caldwell's gene-mutating pathogen. As George along with two other unsuspecting animals grow into ravenous monsters of gargantuan proportions, a frenzied race against the clock commences, as Davis and Dr Kate struggle to find a possible antidote. Suddenly, Chicago becomes a dangerous battlefield. Can the team make it in time before the mutants level the entire city? When three different animals become infected with a dangerous pathogen, a primatologist and a geneticist team up to stop them from destroying Chicago. I had originally had hoped to watch Blockers today but after my movie theatre-working friend said that left, I picked this one instead. Verdict: This was quite a massively enjoyable throwback to the kinds of movies made back decades ago in which giant monsters attack a Big City and it's up to Our Heroes to make sure they get defeated. There's humor, action, and some occasional drama to make this one of the most entertaining movies of this year, that's for sure. And Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a good enough leading man to guide us through it. So on that note, me and my friend highly recommend Rampage. Action, fun everything you ask from a film like this. All types of typical American characters are also there. Corporate Psychopaths, By the book Army morons, the good guys and of course the American Hero. Thoroughly enjoyed the film. The animation of George is fantastic. Watch this movie if you are not a couch potato. Rampage doesn’t really offer much of anything new as a giant monster movie, a video game adaptation, or a Dwayne Johnson vehicle, but it still checks all the boxes expected from it, offering one just enough entertainment value to not make you completely hate it. a5c7b9f00b
