Sarah Ashburn (Bullock) is an uptight FBI agent and has her eye on a promotion. She has closed more case than anybody else in the FBI, but the thing is none of her co-workers like her because she knows pretty much everything. She is sent to Boston to uncover the identity of a ruthless drug lord (Michael McDonald) and is paired up with a foul-mouthed Boston Cop (McCarthy), but they don't get along at all! An uptight FBI Special Agent is paired with a foul-mouthed Boston cop to take down a ruthless drug lord. This movie will give you a perfect almost 2 hrs laugh ;) I loved every second of it and I'm sure everybody in theater agrees because everybody was laughing crazy ... They are a hilarious pair ... Loved it, Loved it, Loved it ... It's a great treat to yourself .... It had been a long time that I hadn't seen a real funny comedy movie but Thanks "Heat" for bringing back the funny comedy :) The night club scenes and getting drunk at the bar are my favorites ... Maybe this helps , I was bored to death by "Identity Thief" This is completely reverse ... In one sentence if you want to have a great time and have a laughter therapy just Go watch the movie I made the great mistake of seeing this movie and I seriously regret it.I thought having Sandra Bullock in it, then it's bound to be a good film. Sadly, I was very much mistaken. I am still shocked that she was in this film at all, let alone the lead. There is nothing about this movie that is positive. The characters are empty, unrealistic in every way, stupid, not even remotely humorous and offensive. They make women out to be empty headed fools who are not capable of doing police work and who can't have a proper relationship with anyone. As for the terrible sports paintings. I'd like to see Hollywood offend Jews or Muslims as they do Christians. Obviously I'm being facetious. It's wrong. No one has the right to ridicule that which is sacred. The writers, directors and those responsible for this film need to grow up. Bad stuff. Don't see it. With the film, Melissa McCarthy definitively cements her status as a legitimate comic talent, leaving her co-star stumbling behind in her wake. The US Blu-ray features two versions of the film. Next to the R-rated theatrical version, we have an unrated cut that doesn't offer a substantially better film. If you liked the theatrical version, you might enjoy some of the plot extension that the longer cut introduces since they add a little humor but they are not necessary to alter the film's overall impression.
