He's been in the country side, he's been downtown, he's been to Las Vegas, he's even been in space, now that evil Leprechaun is in DA HOOD! Three young rap artists are looking for a break. They need money to buy some music equipment so they can go to Las Vegas and enter a contest. They meet up with a local pimp named Mack Daddy who agrees to "hook them up", but later declines. The rappers want to get even with him so one night they break into Mack's place and steal a lot of his jewelry, gold, and even the medallion from an ugly looking statue. Shouldn't have done that! Because without the medallion, the statue transforms into the Leprechaun, who goes on a killing spree looking for his missing gold, once again! And the song says it all, "there's nothing' scarier than a Lep' in the hood!"
When three rappers want to get even with a pimp, they accidentally unleash a leprechaun who goes on a killing rampage in the 'hood.
This movie's a lemon, it surely does bite!
I enjoyed this bit of straight to video trash immensely. Seeing Ice-T with a beach-ball sized 'fro was worth the rental price alone! It's pretty obvious that the movie was recut a few times, but it doesn't seem to have helped.
Highlights include Miss Fontaine and the 'Jesus Loves Me' rap scene. Definitely an MST3K-worthy flick.
Not entirely sure why the creators thought another sequel to this horsecrap series would be a profit maker. Surely after the anti success of all previous films, the producers would have come up with either; A) a better idea for a film, e.g. Ironman vs lake placid. Or a Jeremy Kyle movie where Jeremy himself finally discovers for himself that he is, as every else has known for years, a detestable figure of unimaginable hatred and consequently hangs himself, with the autopsy revealing an inordinate amount of heroine in his blood and thus, fails the live drugs test. Or, B) a sequel to Leprechaun in da hood called, 'Leprechaun in Palestine'. The film would basically be a documentary where Warwick Davis is sent to palestine on a peace march, wearing a t-shirt that (unknown to him) has 'Israel 4eve' printed on the back. The result would be a hilarious chase movie concluding with a climax where angry Palestinians hang Warwick up by his feet and encourage homeless children to batter him with sticks with the promise that 'the screaming pinata' will explode with sweets and chocolate.
