Charles Bronson plays Jack Murphy a veteran police detective who is framed for the murder of his ex-wife. Although taken into custody, Murphy escapes from the police station handcuffed to a foul-mouthed car thief. Pursued by the police, Murphy must find the real killer before it is too late.
Jack Murphy is a tough, antisocial cop. Things are not good for him right now; he just killed the brother of a mobster, and is now marked for death. His wife left him and is now an exotic dancer, and is trying to get her to come back to him and when she shuns him, he drowns his sorrows in the bottle. And if that isn't enough, it seems like someone is stalking him but before going after him, this person wants to torment him first. And what this person does is kill his wife and frame him. Murphy would be arrested and is handcuffed to a young street kid, whom he arrested earlier. They escape and Murphy tries to find out who did this to him.

If your familiar to the Bronsan movies of the eighties, especially the ones made by Cannon,,you know exactly what your in for. A short movie, with typecast Italian villains, Pretty grim violence (the air stewardess still gets me), and Bronsan shouting brilliant one liners.
But wow, Arabella McGee, has the best one liners ever committed to film. It's as if the scriptwriters have left her part for their teenage sons to write, because she literally says the most immature put downs every couple of minutes.
Suck on a door knob Donkey breath Whiskey breath, are just a few of the crackers, and they never fail to make me laugh.
The actual plot is pretty good for the genre, and although the main villain channels Sondra Locke in Sudden Impact a little too much, she still convinces.
All in all its a brilliant, cheesy action movie, that never fails to entertain.
Plus it's the best movie ever to feature a man trying to stop a car by throwing shopping at it...
Another Charles Bronson Film from the 80's produced by Golan/Globus' Cannon Group - A Studio notorious throughout the 80s for making pretty trashy Films on a low budget starring Chuck Norris, Bronson or bigger stars out of work, so my expectations were very low....
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, I know it's not going to win any awards but for what is, it's pretty good.
Bronson plays Det. Jack Murphy a Middle aged cop with relationship and drink problems whose stripper Ex-Wife and his various Friends are being bumped off by someone - The Police force thinks it's him and so he's arrested and stuck in jail with a young carjacker Arabella Mcgee (Kathleen Wilhoite) who tried to steal his car earlier on - So to clear his name and find out whose killing his buddies and why - he breaks out of Prison still handcuffed to the initially reluctant Arabella.
The Script is neither here nor there in 'Cannon Films' although the Insults Aimed at Murphy from Arabella throughout border on ridiculous and are probably the oddest ever filmed.
There's plenty of action and is directed well from the Director of 'Cape Fear' & 'Guns of Navarone' J.Lee Thompson, who made quite a few films with Bronson.
All in All not great, but far better than you would expect.
