Zombieland (www.imdb.com/title/tt1156398/) had a children and it turned to be a series... 50/50 chance, you will love it or you will hate it.
The characters have distinct personalities, there are some real scary and chilling moments, some comedy, tons of guns and knifes, parody of other shows/movies and, what everyone expected, dangerous people, lots of zombies(and variations).
Like i said previously, if you are a fan of Zombieland or at least enjoyed it, i suggest you go see it.
Before you compare to others zombie shows, give it a chance first like i did.
I know, I know, I said that! The Asylum made this series for SyFy of all telly channels and by god this is actually more fun than 'The Walking Dead. has been in seasons.
The effects aren't as good, but they are still damn good. The actors aren't as well-known (like most TWD viewers knew the cast before TWD anyway) but they are still damn good. But it is the most enjoyable contender out there and it sets out to break the mould by bridging zombies with a mutant experiment subplot that keeps it fresh.
'Z Nation' also sets out to make people laugh, which is just as well because it does lack the ability to translate the more tragic moments. It's just a shame that it has its strong episodes and then its weak episodes (and its weak episodes seemed to be more and more towards the end of the first season).
Keith Allan (Doc) and Russell Hodgkinson (Murphy) seem to steal the show every time for me, and Kellita Smith is a badass and also nice to look at. It also has cameos from the occasional horror staple such as Bill Moseley and Harold Perrineau.
Some hilarious zombie goofs, great ideas to keep the zombie apocalypse fresh an fun with every episode, TWD could learn from this, even if they'll never make a zombie smoke a joint or take viagra.
I watched the entire first season in one day. I haven't done that since 'Band of Brothers' and 'In The Night Garden', the latter of which I did againt my own will!
