The exploits of a group of men and women who serve the City of New York as police officers, firemen, and paramedics in the fictional 55th Precinct. I do not usually watch TV shows which are longer than a couple of episodes as I hate to be tied up but this one really got me stuck. Here in Malta I watch it on Italian TV, two episodes which start at 2.30am and end at 4.30am and still it is all worth it. Forget Lost and Prison Break which have promising starts but then end up boring you to death, Third Watch is a real masterpiece and the characters really get you involved especially Boscorelli and Yokas. This show also gives a touch of reality of what its like to be a police officer in NY and the toll this job can have on one's private life. Well done to all those involved in this masterpiece of a show. I would just like to correct my comment (below), in which I said I was looking forward to finding out who Alex was because she is played by Heather McAdam, who I liked as Cat on the show "Sisters". At that time the IMDb credited the role of Alex to Heather McAdam, however upon re-visiting the "Third Watch" page I noticed that the role was now credited to Amy Carlson (who I have never heard of before). Either way I am still looking forward to the future episodes of "Third Watch". Third Watch: Season 1 will be release on Feb. 5, 2008, the price is $59.98.
