Lake Placid - Well it would be, but; "somebody said that name was taken." At least according to the local Sheriff. When a man is eaten alive by an unknown creature, the local Game Warden (Pullman) teams up with a paleontologist (Fonda) from New York to find the beast. Add to the mix an eccentric philanthropist with a penchant for "Crocs" (Platt), and here we go! This quiet, remote lake is suddenly the focus of an intense search for a crocodile with a taste for live animals...and people! 20 or 30 years ago,but now their bashed by a lot of people. which i can't understand. i liked the characters in lake placid. they had a good sense of humor. i think i may have liked bridget fonda's character the most,and second maybe the weird crocodile

hunter. the movie wasn't great,but it was pretty good campy fun. i give lake placid **1/2 out of **** This was a very entertaining film but am I the only one to notice that it only ran for 75 minutes. An extra 15 or 20 minutes could have been used to expand some of the characters especially the old lady by the lake but never mind still worth a watch. I gave it a 7. It also goes out of its way to give you a schlocky B-movie vibe by wrangling bait in the form of a bunch of Big-Gulp stupid stock characters - that's a whopping 44 oz. more stupid than you probably were bargaining for. a5c7b9f00b
