The Glades is such a good concept
too bad it fell flat the first episode. It seems to be a re-hashed story about some 'disgraced' cop transplanted into a situation
who turns out to be a cure-all for every-stinking-crime committed in the Sunshine State. So – voilà – the very best cop in all of Florida turns out to be transplanted screw-up out of the Chicago Police Dept. – give me a break! Chi-Town? Really? And a screw-up at that? I have finally seen more than one show - I saw two...no improvement. Why are Australians now playing all the American rolls...just wondering? I would like to see the hero be home-grown for once. I was impressed with the one show where the star showed the kid how to shoot - waiting ten or twenty minutes for the police to show up and another twenty for reaction - it was probably a smart thing to do! The show has a great concept...but a lot has to happen. One main thing...do away with the arrogance...that is gross.
Have not seen anyone mention the 'carefully' placed ads that run throughout this show from Daniel holding a bag of Reese's Pieces at an odd angle, just so viewers can get a good look throughout the scene, to every character describing how awesome their Kias are "air conditioned seating and a panoramic ceiling" so obvious that even the main character commented "what are you doing Carlos, shooting a commercial?"
I'm done with this series, Jim is rude to everyone but the know it all Callie (with her he acts like a love sick goofy 12 year old) and the series is entirely too predictable! I've watched the first three seasons and enjoyed it to start but Jim is getting so cocky it's hard to watch.
The popular hit A&E Network drama television series "The Glades" Los Angeles casting director is accepting submissions from Los Angeles based male and female actors of all ages and types for Season 3. They are building their files of L.A. talent who are willing to work as "local hire" in the Miami or Ft. Lauderdale areas. This is for co-starring and guest starring roles. In addition to the speaking roles, the extras casting director in Miami is hiring numerous locals, all types from children to senior citizens, for general background performer work on the show. Shooting on Season 3 will take place through early July, 2012.
