Orphaned high school student Rick Riker is bitten by a radioactive dragonfly, develops super powers (except for the ability to fly), and becomes a hero. I've got to say that despite what most people reviewed this movie as i found it very entertaining although i can definitely see why this would get low ratings for cheap humor (not that i totally disagree with that) but still despite the cheap humor me and my friend found ourselves laughing very hard at the jokes. If someone asked me to compare this to another comedy i'd compare it to airplane, anyone who has seen airplane can understand this review, its basically very random jokes that are funny but had nothing to do with each other, which brings me to reviewing the plot which without the humor gets like -1 stars but still i give this movie such a high rating mainly because of the way it caused me and my friend to laugh really hard. What can I say, I'm so angry with myself for seeing this movie. I wasn't going to watch it but I gave it a chance just because it was a superheroes theme. Although the film stuck with just one story, it doesn't have no sense between scenes, the parodies are lame, the jokes are very repetitive and aren't funny anymore. The cast is poor and the acting is weak, the only ones that made a barely decent job are Leslie Nielsen and Drake Bell. In conclusion, this movie already has the honor of being the worst movie of the year and I see it impossible that another movie to beat it. It is an hour and a half nightmare. Avoid it at all causes, really its not worthy.Don't waste your time and money. I don't know why the studios still gives money to people to make this crappy film, if they think they can make very good money with them they are so mistaken. No real mockery is intended by this harmless, mindless grab bag of slightly used gags, which lampoons some of the conventions of recent comic-book epics and adds the expected staples of juvenile humor: urine, vomit and intestinal gas. The Extended version of Superhero Movie features not only some more violent scenes but also several new dirty jokes that aren't included in the theatrical version. Altogether this adds to a total difference of approximately 6 minutes. Just in case you're a fan of this movie the Extended version is worth a try.
