Nolan has a dark past and his demons are exposed when he comes across a brutal fight. "Past Impulse" is a 13-minute mostly black-and-white film from the United States and this one came out back in 2014, so two more years until it will have its 5th anniversary. Writer and director is fairly prolific filmmaker Michael Matteo Rossi and this is surely one of his more known works. He is still fairly young, so we will see what future has in store for him. Here he gives us the story of a man with a dark past apparently as we see him being a reformed Nazi who beats up a bunch of his ex-"colleagues" when they are about to beat up a foreigner. That's the first half of the film and as generic as it may have been, it possibly should have ended there as the second half is a generic (also with the big tattoo) really short piece of romance and finally something you may want to call a business meeting perhaps. The last 6 minutes of this one were relatively underwhelming though and I would not say they were too interesting. Still, somehow perhaps I'd even watch a full feature film based on this movie as I kinda liked the lead actor. But as a whole it just wasn't enough to convince me, not even for under 15 minutes.
