In a remote bar, a newcomer advises the customers to seal the place up, as hungry monsters will soon attack them. The customers must quickly organize a strategy to defend themselves from the deadly creatures.
Patrons locked inside a bar are forced to fight monsters.
I wasn't expecting to laugh AND be scared. I spent a good portion of the movie doing both. Tuffy, Beer Guy, and Bozo did a terrific job. Character intros were hilarious. (The writers did have some weird fascination with monster fornication, but luckily it didn't detract from the overall movie.) Considering horror movies nowadays try to be so scary and awesome, but typically fall short, it's good to see a scary movie that doesn't take itself too seriously and goes the extra mile to make you laugh.
If you're taking the time to read this, then you're obviously curious. Just bite the bullet, check the couch for loose change, and spend the darn 10 bucks on the ticket - 6.75 if you can manage to find a matinée.

First off all....I heard great things about this movie right away. I heard it was blood (which is what we all want!), sexy, and action packed. In no way, shape, or form was I disappointed. The actors were all awesome! You couldn't help but want everyone to die!...in a good way. The horror related jokes were always pleasing. While not laugh out loud funny, it did make me laugh at some of the the things the actors did, that clearly parodied monster movies. For a small budget, the special effects were very well-done. The first-time director had a grindhouse style of directing that I really did like. I recommend this film to all Cult movie lovers!
Follows a common horror flick recipe (people under siege from hungry monsters--so much for Greenlight's search for originality), adding a dash of humor to keep things from becoming too much of a checklist.
The Unrated version of this horror flick is only a couple of seconds longer, in total about five seconds and features a bit more violence but basically, it's not worth mentioning. Nevertheless there's a detailed comparison between both versions with pictures availableover here. a5c7b9f00b
