One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public's adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, The Four Horsemen resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than Walter Mabry, a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Follow the Four Horsemen in another crazy adventure as they take to the streets of Macau to pull off the craziest stunt yet in order to expose a new threat that tried to end them for good. The only time when i woke up was the scene when the Ace was passed from one to another to trick the guards.
First part of the series was much better than this non-sense. First of all there were references to the first movie, but that has been a while ago so I forgot. Secondly, the acting, music and story is so much boring and exaggerated.
I would like to review it some more, to fill the 10 lines of text imposed by IMDb, but the problem is I actually didn't watch the movie since i fell asleep.
Besides this, I had such a good sleep - for that I'll give it a 4.
I don't understand all the hate for this movie. It accomplished the same ends as the first one, and even exceeded it in some ways. Just like the first, it started with a simple plot, added in some humor and dazzling magic tricks, and then brought in a twist at the end. Very fun movie, with complex characters.
Sure, it's not a FANTASTIC movie. But I don't think it was meant to be an award- winner or anything. It celebrates the mystery and magic of illusion, and reminds viewers that even today, audiences can still be fooled, if the magician has just enough intuition (and money) to pull it off.
I would've given 10 stars, but the romance was poorly executed, and some of the plot elements bothered me. Loved it though. Don't believe the negative reviews. Watch it for yourself and see what you think.
The sheer amount of people and incident indifferently presented throughout this film suggests only an obligation to quota-filling.
