In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an accountant with no superpowers comes to realize his city is owned by a super villain. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero. When it come to the Tick its hard for me to hear anyone's voice but Patrick Warburton even though he was only the tick for 8 TV episodes. I loved the cartoon and the since the TV series that could have been something with an actual budget, Mr Warburton is the Tick. Now I do like this new guy, I really liked him as Aldo in Spy. They really need to keep this toon-ish and not try and get to serious with it. It has potential, but I think the Tick costume is terrible and Arthur's suit is grey? Yuck. If we get to see people like the Sewer Urchin, and the Human Bullet, crusading chameleon, American Maid, and Defladurmause/Batmanuel and Villains like the Midnight Bomber which bombs at midnight, and Dinosaur Neil it may really get a following. I am willing to stick around and see how it goes so far. Why does everything have to be so dark/serious now? I used to like the old Tick show but this is so boring and just dumb. It's like they tried to do the dark knight thing but with comedy and it just totally misses the mark. The writing also just isn't that funny. I never thought I'd want to send Adam Sandler in to do punch-ups but they need him or somebody. I probably laughed once, sad misfire. Of the three amazon pilots I've watched, I liked this one the least and I hated "I Love Dick" so that's surprising. Jean-Claude Van Johnson without a doubt is the show that deserves a series of the three, it has smart/clever comedy as opposed to dark/no comedy. If The Tick wins, I will be extremely disappointed. Cannot blame the Tick on the actors though, they did a fine job. At the end of the day it comes down to the writing, just plain boring. Snore fest. Too bad. a5c7b9f00b
