Hell's Kitchen, a city filled with crime causes the actions of one man to restore order to the city. That man is Matt Murdock, a lawyer who was blinded as a child. He has to use his superhero abilities to fight the Russian mob, Chinese trafficking system, Japanese gang, and his worst enemy Wilson Fisk (A.K.A. Kingpin).
Matthew Murdock, blinded by chemicals, is an attorney at day and vigilante by night. He is trained in the martial arts and feuds with criminals in Hell's Kitchen. As he fights convicts throughout the city, he meets new allies as well as old friends and becomes Daredevil, a symbol of justice for a corrupted city.
Hear this CW and Felicity? Go away somewhere far. Let begin with the central character, Matt. Compared to Oliver Queen he is not an angry, attention-whore, who just randomly hide things and reveal them with the most annoying childish honesty.
Matt is complex, cool, deep and responsible for the town. He like the normal Arrow (s01-2) rejects murder, but do not hesitate, when he needed to be tough, in order to save people. Unlike Queen, he not cry every time about: THIS IS MAH CITEE AND I NEEDED DO SAVEE IT! And he forgot to repeat THIS IS MAH CITEE every time, thanks Netflix.
About reccuring, side and minor characters.
Wesley - Loyal, reliable and serious. Unfortunately ends with the bad side of the gun, because of Karen. Vanessa - Charming, but not really remarkable. Stick - Powerful, first time clichéd, but revealed as a cold-blooded murderer and leading Elektra to the "barbaric" side. Foggy - First time is humorous, but later he became more serious. He now able to fight for his beliefs, at his own level. Chinese woman - I forgot her name, but her drug-labor is remarkable as well as her workers too.
Villains: Fisk - Totally awesome, he is angry and not cold. He is easily gets mad and able to kill with a single punch. For Vanessa or his loved ones, he will do anything. However his "business" may required a more stable men, he at least understood the nature of the power. "Castle", hero of the folk. I think he is sympathetic, because he kill and not moralize. The dim-witted people surely liked him, as he just kill the "bad" people and not do "half" work as "Matt do". However in his zeal the Punisher pave the way for Fisk.
After hearing that this was going to be a adult superhero show in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out.
That being said, this is currently my 3rd favorite superhero show.
Charlie Cox's performance as Matt Murdock/Daredevil was really realistic. It was almost like he had heavily studied the mannerisms of blind people before starting production. By golly, his acting is so friggin good.
The standout performance in Season One was Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. He wasn't a stereotypical cheesy villain that one would normally see in a comic book property. His performance was very nuanced, and (to be completely honest) terrifying. He was a pretty unpredictable character, who could quickly change from calm and collected to pissed off and homicidal. Although he is the villain, the show also tries to make you sympathize with him. And let me just say, it definitely works, despite the fact that this guy is a psychopath.
In Season Two, the show-stealer was Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher. As a man torn apart by violence, Castle is a man who won't stop killing before he's avenged his murdered family. Bernthal really brings a lot of emotion to this performance, while also being the comic book equivalent of Kratos from "God of War". He really nailed his performance, so much so that he got his own spinoff show, "The Punisher".
This show also does a really good job of saying "Hey, Disney! We're An Adult Show, so Screw You!". This show really has a lot of violence, cursing (with the exception of the f-word, which has still never been uttered once in the MCU), drug and alcohol content, and some sexual themes (the show starts with Daredevil freeing women from a human trafficking ring). It's effective without it beating us over the head with this content.
This show also has some pretty fun action (the hallway fight in season one and the stairwell fight in season two).
I can't recommend this show enough. If you have Netflix, definitely give this one a try.

Ben Urich's office also contains framed newspaper covers featuring the events in The Incredible Hulk and The Avengers. Season 1 has been confirmed to take place three years after The Battle of New York. Stick enlists Matt's help to destroy "Black Sky," a weapon that the Japanese mafia, led by Fisk's associate Nobu, are bringing into New York. Matt agrees on the condition that Stick restrain himself from killing anyone, but Stick breaks his promise when it is revealed that Black Sky is a young boy being held in a shipping container with chains around his neck and limbs. Stick fails to kill Black Sky while at the docks with Matt, but later says he killed the boy further up the road. Stick does not go into detail but says that the boy was more than "just a boy" and that Matt would have sensed this had he not been emotional at the moment. Black Sky is not a term previously found Marvel Comics so there is no clear parallel to be found there at this time. What exactly the boy named Black Sky is and how exactly he is a weapon is not revealed as of the first season of Daredevil, and any fan theories are pure speculation. In season 2; Elektra is revealed to be the Black Sky. There has still been no confirmation on who or what the Black Sky actually is. a5c7b9f00b
