I loved it! I'm a big fan of Zombie flicks and the Walking Dead. It's low budget but it captures what I look for in an apocalypse zombie flick. I'm giving it 10 out of 10 because I thought it was funny and actually fun. I enjoyed it very much! I highly recommend it to zombie fans every where. (I'm not sure if you will like this if you are not into zombie flicks or if you are really into hardcore zombie scene. I'm a casual zombie fan and I liked it. ) Can't wait to watch more!
Also the wait takes too long for Walking Dead or Game of Thrones to come out.
It's sort of a lower budget film but the story line get's to the point real quick. And the characters are cool. And the weapons. And the characters all sort of "gets how to survive".
I was originally an avid TWD fan, feeling the entire zombie TV series concept really could be a great watch to begin with. It proved to be a good show, but never really got to a point that I felt fully satisfactory.
After giving Z Nation a try, my initial impressions were that it was cheesy, off-kilter and just not quite right. The actors don't 'fit' at the beginning, but it's quite amazing to see as the story progress the cast really filled in. Nobody wants to be told that you just need to sit through some cheese but I feel this show accomplishes what a zombie show really should be, full of the action and the fun which I feel TWD lacks at times (don't get me wrong, TWD does a great job at the dramatic bit, but sometimes we want to try to see that darker side of the word portrayed with a light-hearted vibe). Do yourself a favor and even look at the individual episode ratings, they really do get better.
10 Stars from me with 2 thumbs up. I'll be excited to start watching season 2.
