At the turn of the century, the young lord Vlad and his family live a peaceful life ruling over their small kingdom, but when a Turk warlord demands from Vlad a thousand boys and his son to create an army Vlad seeks a terrible power that will allow him to protect his kingdom and family from the Turks at a terrible cost.
As his kingdom is being threatened by the Turks, young prince Vlad Tepes must become a monster feared by his own people in order to obtain the power needed to protect his own family, and the families of his kingdom.
What a terrible movie was that and they ended like they are going to make a second movie. I am begging you please not do it. You're even incapable of making just a bit research. Turks don't speak Turkish like that you create a hole another (compleate nonsense) Turkish accent and I have to read the subtitle to understand Turkish conversations and The Conqueror Faith NEVER gives speeches (pep talk)to his soldiers in English.
I was expecting to change the ottoman history a little bit but, it was it was so badly done and I laughed most of the time.
Also I think there was clear taking a side as religion. Cross burns the vampires :)) yes get on with that. But of course Muslims are evil enough to play villains.
Get over yourselves and please quit being so racist. Show a little respect some country's History,Language and religion. I am so angry and so disappointed.
PS:2 for leading cast and the ottoman clothes except the armor of Faith at the last scene.
Very clever this movie,,it goes back and tells us how Dracula became who he is. Very well filmed and directed with just enough CGI to make it a big screen event.Good acting all the way through and a great soundtrack( something which most people never comment on).Bit of a history lesson in here too and far far superior to the awful Dracula with Gary Oldman .Fantastic in 3D and all the extras did their job well. Overall a real good quality bubblegum piece well worth a watch...though it should be watched on the big screen( as with ALL movies).Very violent but never bloody and agonises over the old adage that " A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"!Would love to see a follow as to how he evolves into the character we all know and love but I can't see that happening.
It works neither as a sweeping historical epic nor as an action-horror hybrid.
