After losing her job, Jersey girl Stephanie Plum is broke. Needing a job she is told that her cousin, a bail bondsman, needs someone to help out in the office. But the only job openings he has are for skip tracers. She learns that Joe Morelli, a guy she knew intimately years ago, is one of the "skips". She eventually finds him but wasn't really prepared so he gets away. Another bounty hunter, Ranger, tries to teach her. Eventually she finds Morelli again, but he claims he is innocent of the crime he is accused of and he is trying to prove his innocence. Eventually Stephanie thinks he's telling the truth so she stakes out the person who can help him. She only finds herself in trouble and Morelli saves her. She tries to find someone who can prove his innocence, but the problem is that shortly after meeting with them they're killed or attacked.
Unemployed and newly-divorced Stephanie Plum lands a job at her cousin's bail-bond business, where her first assignment puts her on the trail of a wanted local cop from her romantic past.
I just saw the trailer from your Stephanie Plum movie \"One for the Money\". I want to say that this is a horrible choice of an actor for Ranger. The actor Daniel Sunjata who is playing Ranger looks like a weasel wannabe bounty hunter. I love the books, I picture \"The Rock\" Dwayne Johnson, and Tank played by Michael Clarke Duncan. Everyone that I have spoken with who has read the books agrees.. YOU need "The Rock" as Ranger Plus this actor who is playing Joe Morelli?!!! Oh my freaking God!!! Jason O'Mara,he is not even Italian!!!! He looks like something from\"Queer Eye for the Straight Guy!!!!\" .. he does not even ooze sexuality!!! This movie is going to tank and suck due to your choices of actors. No offense If Janet had signed over her rights to the books, she would not continuously be adding new books to the Stephanie Plum series. Plus she would not be getting any royalties for these either. You and I both know she has a final say so in who plays the characters.
The actors Eric Dane or Hugh Jackman either one would be perfect for the character Joe Morelli. If you have read the books, the characters Ranger and Morelli both OOZE sexuality. Both the characters of Ranger and Morellie "would be able to get a woman hot and bothered".
As a woman, and one who has read all the Stephanie Plum books, these actors are like "ickk" and "what the heck!!??" Ranger is a character that kicks butt and would make someone poop their pants, not this actor playing him, he who looks like someone could break him in half.
Betty White would be a great Grandma Mazur..if she would not be afraid to break her hip. The late Estelle Getty if she was alive would have been 100% completely perfect.
Please contact Janet Evanovich and whomever is creating the film, to please give my feedback. I am sure Ken, that I am not the only one very disappointed in these choices made.
The only actor you have correct with this movie is the actor is Patrick Fischler playing Vinnie. He looks sneaky enough like a weasel. Lula's character should be played by Lonnie Love from World's Dumbest on True TV.
I just saw the movie. I admit, I do not go to the movie theatre very often, but this was worth the money. It is a soft comedy movie and I thought both the script and the delivery were performed very well. My wife (who read the book series) thought that Carlos (the ranger) should have been hotter. I thought he delivered the role convincingly. If you are expecting a Bruce Willis action flick-this is not it. If you are expecting Jenna Elfman, you will be out of luck. Kathrine played it straight and to the point. The pace was rapid and the scenes were captured realistically (good editing.) The events in the movie are engineered to appeal to the ladies. It did. My wife really liked the film. I admit, I enjoyed it. I would recommend this film.
Congratulations to the cast and crew. This film is one in the win column and will no doubt be shown repeatedly on TV in the future with audiences taking time to watch it again and again.
