Vanessa Helsing, distant relative of famous vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing, is resurrected only to find that vampires have taken over the world. Alight, I watched this show till the end, but all I can say is I wish I had not. This show tried to copy the walking dead's "no one is safe" aspect and at first I liked it, but then they just started killing characters for NO reason what so ever. It started off so strong, a great team chemistry interesting characters, then they got lazy, oh the ass hole who no one like is a wanna be rapist, the doctor is actually a coward and left their best shot to live alone to die, the special blooded girl is also a utter bad ass for no reason, the deaf guy really is a weirdo killer, and the blond who was a bad ass at the start goes out like a punk for again no reason. If they had just stayed with the group and developed the characters some more, like they were doing, the show would have gotten a 10/10 from me. Flesh was a great story arc, the grieving ex vampire who is more human than anyone in the group, has his entire story and character abandoned. Axle, a powerful marine who know how to survive in this hellish world, is killed off because a door shuts because a character was uncharacteristically craven. Sam, the nicest guy who was second only to flesh in his humanity, turns out to be the internal killer? seriously so freaking dumb, they had such a interesting dynamic going and half way threw the season they threw it in the freaking trash. Poor writing. I love the show, but my wife and I lead busy lives and we hardly ever watch shows when they air so we depend upon ON DEMAND. The problem is on Xfinity One, Van Helsing was supposed to be available till Aug. 23 and instead it was taken off in Feb. and we had only watched all but the last 2 episodes. The same thing happened with Wynonna Earp, we watched 7 episodes and it was supposed to be on until March 2017, but it was taken off in the late summer/early fall. I love both shows and I love the Sy Fy channel but it's frustrating to say the least. a5c7b9f00b
