Deeply ensconced in a top-secret military program, three pilots struggle to bring an artificial intelligence program under control before it initiates the next world war.
In the near future, the Navy develops a fighter jet piloted by an artificial intelligence computer. The jet is placed on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific to learn combat manuevers from the human pilots aboard. But when the computer develops a mind of its own, it's the humans who are charged with stopping it before it incites a war...
Don't be fooled by the first half an hour of the movie. You would think that the movie is over-rated with the super stunts and super show off that the characters show.
However, the movie gets more interesting at later stages of the movie. I haven't such a good "fly planes action" movie since "Top Gun".
The story revolves around 3 excellent pilots taking secret missions to fight terrorists around the world. The new catch is that they are being accompanied by a 4th pilot nicknamed as "Eddie". And as Lt. Henry Purcell (Jamie Foxx) says: "4 is not lucky...because it isn't a prime number" ;).
What mostly thrilled me about the movie is the role of robots and computer brain. It isn't like "I, robot" or "AI" or any anti-robot movies in the sense that it shows the negative consequences of a self-conscious robot. On the contrary, this movie shows the two faces of Technology. The face of harmful effects as well as the face of being supportive and of assistance in serving humanity.
The plot, and the story may not be that great but surely the special effects, production, directing of the movie made me regret watching it in DVD rather than in cinema. If you haven't watched in the Cinema yet, then make sure before getting it on DVD to have a 5.1 surround system and at least a 30 inch TV to guarantee maximum seat-to-edge thrill and to completely enjoy it.

"Stealth" is not crap. "Stealth" hasn't got a thin plot. "Stealth" is a good Underrated summer action movie that is far better than "Fantastic Four" and the rather dull and boring "War of the Worlds".
It has everything a typical action movie is made from. Good characters that make it believable. They have emotion, feelings and morales. It has a good plot. Nothing thin about it, you understand whats going on and thats that. People would have moaned if it was to complicated. So when they feel there isn't enough information given, they moan its "thin". Can the Movie makers win? Nope. (I feel there's to much nit-picking with todays movie goers!). The action is furious, nothing unbelievable is ever seen. There's lots of explosions and special effects (Effects were amazing throughout) which keeps the movie rolling at a good pace. The movie runs for 2 Hours which is maybe drawn out as some scenes could have been cut down (Wade out running the Koreans was a little over done) but it doesn't do anything to the "overall" outcome of the movies feel.
Okay, this movie isn't going to be for everyone but for action fans, this is a must. It has emotion throughout and you actually feel for the EDI as its learning and evolving. Its like a Baby, its absorbing what people say and do all the time.
Someone compared this movie to top gun and the quote was "A poor mans Topgun". Its not fair to compare movies when the only resemblance is the characters fly aircrafts. People already made up there minds about this movie before it came out. They said it would suck but I don't think they even gave it a chance...

If the Navy is looking for splashy recruiting tools, it could do worse than Stealth, a zillion-dollar action movie stuffed with futuristic jet fighters, glamorous carrier pilots and an overload of explosive, mostly digital derring-do.
Their is no official service wide policy in effect in peacetime. Whether or not officers and enlisted personnel wear dress uniform, uniform of the day or civilian clothing to frequent bars and nighclubs while overseas and off duty. Then it is always up to the discretion of the commanding officer of each command/unit/ship/submarine to set forth the uniform of the day requirements regarding how service members will be attired while off duty and mixing with the local civilian population. Keep in mind that whenever in uniform American service members are representing their nation and should always be on their best behavior. While stationed in the USA then uniform requirements are often relaxed for local commands including those stationed in Alaska and Hawaii.
