This British movie is about a group of inept criminals who decide to rob a bank so they can save their grandfather's retirement home from being demolished by developers. Meanwhile on another building site some workers dig up an old graveyard and they get bitten by the "undead" which sets off a chain reaction. Then the bank robbers are cornered by the police while in the process of the robbery, but when they exit they find that they are all dead as a result of the horde of zombies. They have to get to the retirement home before the zombies do!

A construction crew opens a vault/tomb that was sealed during the Great Plague of London. This unleashes a zombie outbreak. The film concentrates on the old folks home and the young adults who rob a bank to get the money to save the home. Brothers Terry (Rasmus Hardiker) and Andy (Harry Treadaway) head up the group. They are aided by their cousin Katy (Michelle Ryan), bumbling ex-con David (Jack Doolan), and Mental Mickey (Ashley Thomas). Georgia King plays a hostage the guys try to pick up after they kidnap her.
The film is a comedy and not a horror production as expected. It is not knee-slapping funny, but did make me laugh at some unique scenes such as drop kicking a zombie baby, attempting to kill a zombie with a metal plate in his head, a zombie gang fight, and of course the chase scene of a foot dragging zombie pursuing a man with a walker. Zombie fans just have to love it.
Parental Guide: Plenty of F-bombs, no sex or nudity.
Zombies attack a London East End retirement home, populated with elderly British character actors. Great hijinks ensue, highlighted by a zombie/walker chase scene and a drop-kicked zombie infant.
Alan Ford as Ray (Snatch), and Honor Blackman as Peggy (Goldfinger) are the two lead old fogies, with a supporting cast of wheelchair and hip replacement comrades who are assisted by Ray's bank robber grandkids in this comedy that milks the situation for all it's worth in laughs.
With lots of the usual blood and gore of any zombie flick, this laugh-riot is not for the squeamish by any means; but if you loved Zombieland, Fido, and Shaun of the Dead, you'll get a charge out of this low-budget romp.
It’s fun, gore-drenched, and even touching at times. All that’s missing from the toothy chaos and broad comedy on display here is Dame Judi Dench and the kickass title that could have been: "The Best Necrotic Mandible Hotel."
