Codename: Kids Next Door follows the escapades of five eager, yet bumbling, ten-year-olds as they join forces against adulthood to fight for the right to enjoy all the fun things in life. These principled kids tackle the really important issues facing their peers, like the right to stay up late or to eat whatever they want. But when taking a stand is just not enough, this crew embarks on top secret missions on behalf of children everywhere, utilizing fantastic homemade technology like flying machines and catapults, to accomplish their goals. Like any good team, the agents in Codename: Kids Next Door each have their own distinct identities, skills and personalities. Numbuh One is Nigel Uno, the British-accented leader of the group. Hoagie P. Gilliam, a mechanical genius and expert pilot, is known as Numbuh Two. Diversionary tactics are the specialty of Kiki Sanban, also known as Numbuh Three. Brash and impulsive Numbuh Four (Wallabee Beatles) is a master of hand to hand combat. And Numbuh Five, alias Abigail "Abby" Lincoln, is the quiet one with the most common sense. Whether it's the possibility of getting shipped off to summer camp, battling the imposition of adult swim time at the local swimming pool, or clashing with adult enemies such as Gramma Stuffum, Knightbrace, Mr. Wink and Mr. Fibb, these kids have their work cut out for them.
Codename: Kids Next Door follows the adventures of five eager yet-bumbling ten year-olds as they join forces to fend off adult enemies including: Grandma Stuffum, Nightbrace, Stickybeard, Mr. Fibb and Mr. Wink, the Common Cold, Rupert Puttkin, the Evil Turnips, and of course, The Delightful Children From Down The Lane.
The KND series is without a doubt excellent! The stories and sub plot twists are all integrated into a nice package every time. The artwork is clean & sweet also. Unlike other cartoons that are thrown together and just a lot of messy abstract junky scratches with no real storyline either. But Kids Next Door deliver every time! The 2x4 technology totally rocks! And the Rainbow Monkeys rule!
The animation & cinematography flows perfect in KND and the sf/music meshes perfectly to the action at hand. And there is an endless supply of writing creativity! My favorite cartoon since Sailor Moon.

This show started 2 years ago, no one knowing much about it. Eventually, it had gotten fans, and these fans became loyal to the show. I cannot say I was one of them (I only began to like the show a year ago) but I still have been loyal. Who knew, third season, this show was in full gear, with lots of fans (especially towards the pairing Numbuh 3/Numbuh 4)! I know I didn't. I thought it'd still be in that same position, of only those few fans. Now, there are a plethora of fansites, fanfics, and fanart. But also theories. A bunch of them. Even if most of them are probably true (like the once-known rumor of the movie, which we know is coming out in 2006) we all want to keep our hopes up, no matter how ridiculous the rumor is (i.e.: Numbuh 1 and Numbuh 3 getting together, not to bash you 1/3 fans). This is a good period for Cartoon Network, with the success of KND, the new "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" and new episodes to many other shows! Maybe this period will be lasting, and keep fans happy? All we know is that we look forward to the new season of KND!
