A villain's maniacal plan for world domination sidetracks five teenage superheroes who dream of Hollywood stardom.
It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies-everyone but the Teen Titans, that is. But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously super villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line.
Yet again, Robin's desperate need for attention leads them astray. And it couldn't be more of a trip. When they go back in time and try to right the wrongs of their time-meddling by shoving Mr. and Mrs. Wayne back into "Crime Alley", I lost it.
Plus so many poop and fart jokes. And songs. Although, the night did lack a little bit of its shininess.
It does make an "incredibly" similar point to the other major animated superhero movie this year, and that is: enough with the superhero movies! Unless it is the Challengers of the Unknown; bring those guys on.
First rate movie for kids of all ages.
This movie I thought would be less of a musical and more of an action movie i was glad I didn't pay for the ticket. But don't get me wrong this movie is good and has a lot of dc comic references. This movie seemed like it was trying too hard to pander to one crowd. But they did sneak in Stan Lee and animaniacs joke for older viewer's the ending was annoying but the main question at it was where do babies come from?
It’s an infectiously goofy film, but also deceptively smart about why we love comic book heroes and the amount of stupidity we’re willing to accept within the genre.
