A good version of Lex Luthor from a parallel Earth comes to the Justice League's dimension for help to fight their evil counterparts.
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths is (as usual with all the DC animated features) extremely well-done, action-packed, and beautiful to look at. It follows the same proved-to-work formula of being straight and to the point. These direct-to-DVD features have a wonderful track record of presenting a problem, establishing the plot, and getting right to the non-stop action real fast.
Writer Dwayne McDuffie makes a wonderful attempt at cramming all your favorite JL characters into a small running time. They come up a bit short Batman, but do their best to make up for it in the last act. It's interesting that they decided to go with Hal Jordan as Green Lantern in this versus the John Stewart representation from the TV series. I'm sure it has something to do with the timeline in the DC Universe or something like that. I plead ignorance. It seems like the artists for this were feature were trying to set it apart and separate it from the animated series. Most of the iconic characters have a different look to them.
Which brings me to my only real complaint with the film: the voices of the characters. They just didn't "feel" right. There seemed to be something off with the choices of actors to voice these legendary roles. William Baldwin as Batman and Mark Harmon as Superman didn't have the same flair to them as Kevin Conroy and Tim Daly in the roles they have become attached to in their Batman and Superman Animated Series and countless features. As much as I hate to admit it, this really was distracting to the entire feature. In closing, I have to say that Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths ends up being a worthy addition to any collector of the DC Universe comics and movies. I really never followed the Crisis comic series, so I can't really compare the movie with the canon of the books. I'm reviewing it as a stand-alone film with no preconceived expectations.
When it comes to animation films based off comic books it would seem that DC Comics has the edge on that battle because so far they have been the top dogs with their animation motion pictures based on their characters.
And Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths is no different. This time the plot centers around Lex Luthor from another Earth must seek help from the Justice League lead by Superman along with Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash and Martian Manhunter to help save his world from the Crime Syndicate lead by Ultraman, Owlman, Superwoman, J'edd J'arkus, Power Ring, and Johnny Quick.
Plot wise it is pretty cool and holds your attention from the start of the film. That's what DC Animation films do very strong with is making stories that will hold your interest and make you respect the writing staff for their effects and in this film they did a good job.
Plus with a voice cast as this how could you go wrong?

All of them brought the film to life with the voice acting being superb and with the writing for the film it help the actors bring these characters to attention and make them believable plus they reference other films in this movie that you have to watch to believe it gives you the impression that the voice actors and actresses really enjoy making this film and it shows in their work because they did a superb job
The music in the film is top notch and it helps bring the movie together as each piece of music helps tell the story of each scene
Plus the animation in this film is some of the best in a long time and good that they went with the hand drawn style because I always love hand drawn animation this film really deserves a medal for it's art because the characters look very believable and the backgrounds are superb
I should warn you that the film does feature language not much but enough to warn you in advice it just not often you would have an animated film with language also the film does have some moments that make you go serious in a animated film
But none the less this is a film worth your time
Overall if you're a fan of comic books and enjoy animation films you'll enjoy this one because it just a lot going for it so give it a shot
