Professional Brooklyn hitman Jimmy Conlon is more commonly known as THE GRAVEDIGGER. Jimmy was a mob hit-man, who was best friends with his boss Sean Maguire. But when Jimmy's son, Michael, is marked for death by the mob, Jimmy must go up against Sean to protect Michael at all costs. Together, he and Michael must avoid corrupt cops, contract killers and the mob to survive the night.
Mobster and hit man Jimmy Conlon has one night to figure out where his loyalties lie: with his estranged son, Mike, whose life is in danger, or his longtime best friend, mob boss Shawn Maguire, who wants Mike to pay for the death of his own son.
When I sit down to watch Run All Night, I don't expected so much. In the last 10 years, we got enough Liam Neeson action film, such as the Taken-trilogy, Unknown and A Walk Among Tombstones.
The action is non-stop and entertaining. There're only just a little drama, but it's enough. Although, I think the relationship between Liam Neeson and his son, played by Joel Kinnaman isn't shown as deeply as it had to be.The acting and the direction are also good. The editing and the cinematography are amazing, especially in the ending. There're some little problems with the script, but if you want to see an action movie, it's okay.
This film is definitely worth a watch. I hope Neeson will star in films at least as good as this.

This is for Liam Neeson fans. Ed harris gives a fantastic performance too. The scenes between the two veteran actors are mesmerizing. The action scenes are brilliantly shot. Joel Edgarton looks nice too. It may not make sense in many scenes since it borrows elements from movies in 80's.
With Neeson on fine form and an encouraging start, it’s a shame that this gritty crime drama feels the need to erupt into a full-blown action movie by the end.
