Matt Murdock, with his other senses superhumanly enhanced, fights crime as a blind lawyer by day, and vigilante by night.
As a child Matt Murdock was blinded by a chemical spill in a freak accident. Instead of limiting him it gave him superhuman senses that enabled him to see the world in a unique and powerful way. Now he uses these powers to deliver justice, not only as a lawyer in his own law firm, but also as vigilante at night, stalking the streets of Hell's Kitchen as Daredevil, the man without fear.
Hopefully we can all forget about the afleck daredevil now, because this TV show is seriously good. As mentioned in my title it incorporates all the aspects that make TV shows such a great entertainment medium. Every character has their own story that develops nicely, no character ends the show the same way they started. The action is very brutal and quick (the corridor scene was one of the best long takes I've seen, second only to the Raid and the Raid 2), but done well, with daredevil getting enough beatings that you feel like he's learning on the job and actually a mortal human being rather than a super human with no chance of getting damaged. I like the realism of him being out of action for a couple of episodes because he gets the crap so badly kicked out of him, kudos to the writers and director for doing that. The villain is superb, not some person who is indescribably evil for no reason, in fact in many episodes they do very well in making you go "you know I could agree with this guy, and get behind him, if daredevil wasn't such a badass". He makes some of the best monologues I have heard in television, that work in giving you an insight into his point of view and motivations and self perception, but also lead to add to the tension of the scene as it gets more and more sinister. Overall not a classic children's MCU character. So maybbeeee don't watch with your little kiddy winks, but a great TV show to get far too engrossed in and watch in a weekend, then pester all your friends to watch. Marvel's "Daredevil" is a real marvel. It is a NetFlix Original and currently available on NetFlix Instant Download Streaming. The actors include Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Vincent D'Onofrio, Toby Leonard Moore, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Bob Gunton, Ayelet Zurer and Roce Johnson. It is the Marvel comics characters coming to life in color and surround sound just as desired by the many fans of this genre. It is directed by Phil Abraham and Farren Blackburn. Writers include Bill Everet, Drew Goddard, Stan Lee, Steven S. DeKnight, Douglas Patrie, Gene Colan, Luke Kalteux, Roger McKenzie, Joe Pokaski, Marco Ramirez and Johnny Romita. The story is that of a blind attorney, Matt Murdock, and his colleague, Foggy Nelson of the firm by the same name who are out to save the city of New York from the forces of evil that lurk in the shadows. Yes, it takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with such films as Iron Man (2008), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), The Incredible Hulk (2008), and The Avengers (2012), as well as the TV shows Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013) , Agent Carter (2015) and Jessica Jones (2015). As well as upcoming series Luke Cage (2016), and Iron Fist (2017).
The show also makes several references to the Avengers film. Such as "after new york was destroyed", or "unless he has a suit of iron or a magic hammer".
Ben Urich's office also contains framed newspaper covers featuring the events in The Incredible Hulk and The Avengers. Season 1 has been confirmed to take place three years after The Battle of New York. Stick enlists Matt's help to destroy "Black Sky," a weapon that the Japanese mafia, led by Fisk's associate Nobu, are bringing into New York. Matt agrees on the condition that Stick restrain himself from killing anyone, but Stick breaks his promise when it is revealed that Black Sky is a young boy being held in a shipping container with chains around his neck and limbs. Stick fails to kill Black Sky while at the docks with Matt, but later says he killed the boy further up the road. Stick does not go into detail but says that the boy was more than "just a boy" and that Matt would have sensed this had he not been emotional at the moment. Black Sky is not a term previously found Marvel Comics so there is no clear parallel to be found there at this time. What exactly the boy named Black Sky is and how exactly he is a weapon is not revealed as of the first season of Daredevil, and any fan theories are pure speculation. In season 2; Elektra is revealed to be the Black Sky. There has still been no confirmation on who or what the Black Sky actually is. a5c7b9f00b
