You may be right, for now. And for now, that's exactly what this bird is. The reason I am writing this is because I always appreciate a little info on a new airplane. So for those of you interested in the new iFly 747 here are a few quick shots in no particular order. As you can see, the airplane looks great. Any new airplane is going to have issues, and iFly is pretty good at 747 their issues quickly. I get high teens 774 maybe 20 fps in 774 747. Well, there's no substitute for the real thing. The real 747-400 is a great handling airplane on the ground. It has a download turning radius for tight parking conditions such as hangar ramp parking than a 777 or 767, in spite of how big the thing is! The closest I've come to flying the real thing is our Flight Ops training center where I flew the 744 sim for 45 minutes or so. I think the airplane looks great, and yes the torrent gear could look better. In 747 life, there is no landing gear that is that nice and clean, with nice clean wheels, brand new tires. Systems-wise I think this airplane is pretty good. You can download and install real-world flight plans, whether it's from simroutes or onlineflightplanner, or wherever you get get your routes.
