A Bollywood junior artiste, Om Prakash Makhija hopes to make it big in life and is infatuated by popular starlet, Shantipriya. But there is a short-coming as Shanti is marry to film producer, Mukesh Mehra; worse off she is expecting his child. This crushes Om's hope of uniting with Shanti - but he is forced to rescue her when Mukesh lured her into an en-strangled position resulting in the death of both. 30 years later Om is re-born to yesteryear Bollywood actor, Rajesh Kapoor and is himself an actor. He meets with Mukesh and together they attempt to make a film 'Om Shanti Om'. It here Om will get unite with his beloved, Shanti and he will start to regain his memories which forces him to investigate - endangering his life once again.
Om Prakash Makhija is a Junior Artist in the 1970's hindi film industry, who is in love with actress Shantipriya. Om rescues Shanti from a fire scene where the fire has escaped control, and they become friends. His hopes seems to be coming true, but shortly thereafter he finds out that she is married to a film producer, Mukesh Mehra, and is expecting his child. He then watches in horror as Mukesh, after luring her in an abandoned studio, sets it on fire to prevent a financial loss and protect his career. Om attempts to rescue her in vain, and he eventually is killed. 30 years later, Om has reincarnated as the only son of a Bollywood actor, Rajesh Kapoor, and is himself an actor. His memories start to return when he meets with his widowed mother, Bela, from his previous birth. He also meets with Mukesh and together they decide to make a movie 'Om Shanti Om'. Om then hires a look-alike of Shantipriya, and hopes to force a confession out of Mukesh - but things go awry and Om finds his life endangered once again.
This is the the good, the big Bellwood war machine! Let us look at this film as we look " I hate the actors ", " The Player " or " Big tiredness " (Michel Blanc's). A film on the crushing industry of the cinema, here The cinema of Mumbai. It was necessary that somebody makes it, Farah Khan, Géniale Farah Khan, made it! I saw this film yesterday, before that i wasn't over excited about seeing it, but i thought i might as well, as Shahrukh khan is in it. As the movie got going i thought it was really good and full of everything Farah khan said this movie would have, fun, drama, love, it was just an all-round brilliant film. That model Deepika Padukone, she was amazing she is a dead ringer for priyanka chopra, and she can act, i can see her having more offers in the future. Shahrukh again is his typical self, this movie would have never been the same without him. I hadn't really seen much of the trailers before the film, so when watching i was surprised at all the star which made special appearances, but where was aish rai??Anyways this movie defiently in my top 10 of all times, the songs were great and more films should be like this one!! Overall 10/10!
